Wisdom Teeth Hands on Models Course and Wisdom Teeth Live Patient Surgery Course.

A two day intensive workshop designed to teach you both the theory and hands on components of safe and efficient extraction of wisdom teeth. This course is delivered by oral and maxillofacial surgeons who are trained to not just teach you how to safely and effectively remove wisdom teeth in your patients but to help you clarify what you can do and which ones to refer.

Attendees of this course will be taken through a morning of intense theory before completing an afternoon of hands-on practise on specially made wisdom tooth surgical extraction models imported from Japan.  This course is designed to teach you the theory of safe, efficient wisdom tooth extraction as well as introduce the necessary clinical skills by way of model training.

• Indications and Contraindications for Extraction of Wisdom Teeth
• Pre-Operative Assessment
• Clinical planning of the surgery from LA to Post Operative instructions.
• Management of Complications
• Hands on (Models)
• Flap design
• Bone guttering
• Tooth sectioning
• Tooth Delivery
• Suturing of the surgical site

LEVEL 2:

WISDOM TEETH LIVE PATIENT SURGERY

Sunday July 14 2024

8am to 5pm

This is an exclusive premium course with a full day of guided live patient surgery.

Patients will be screened and provided for the participants.

The course commences with assessing all the patient imaging with the OMFS to carefully plan out their surgeries. The participants will be split into three groups of three. The three per group will cycle through the roles of clinician, assistant and observer.

Each participant will have the opportunity to:

• removed four wisdom teeth (two mandibular and two maxillary) of various levels of difficulty,
• assisted for the removal of another four and
• observed another four.

Each of the three clinical surgeries will have a dedicated oral maxillofacial surgeons supervising the entirety of the surgeries to ensure patient safety and the maximum amount of clinical training.

Fee: $4500 + gst

Entry is by application only - Purchase a 'Free' ticket and our event manger will be in contact with what you need to provide, when you have been approved you will then be invoiced for the course fee

Each Level 2 participant must have completed the Level 1 course.

Cancellation Policy: 

1) Option to transfer to another course date or credit voucher to use within 1 year* 

2) Cancellations more than 31 days before course start date - full refund minus $200 administration fee 

3) Cancellations between 15 to 30 days before course start date - 50% refund minus $200 administration fee 

4) Cancellations between 0 to 14 days before course start date - no refund 

*AHC must be notified in writing of transfer no less than 14 days prior to the event & credits/transfers cannot be refunded at a later date.

Bank Transfer Payment

Payment via bank transfer must be made immediately upon registering. Funds must be cleared within two days of invoice date. Registration will automatically be removed if funds are not cleared within this timeframe.

Sickness

In case of sickness which the attendee is unable to attend the course, AHC Dental Ed is be happy to transfer the funds to another course within 12 months, however a doctors certificate must be provided.
