Dr Sid began his dental career in a country town in North Queensland. He worked in private practice for a year in Sarina before relocating to Canberra, where he spent three and a half years in both public and private practice. In 2015, he completed a Masters Degree in Advanced Dentistry at the University of Sydney, during which he also completed three systematic reviews of the dental literature.
After this program, Sid’s real interest was now in restorative dentistry and the science behind it. He gained a Doctoral Scholarship to enrol at the University of Otago (New Zealand) to specialise in Prosthodontics. During the program, Sid researched Teeth Whitening for his thesis, and he completed his Residency in 2019, graduating with a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry. He also attained Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (MRACDS Prosthodontist), further reinforcing his high standards of patient management, diagnosis and treatment.
Sid enjoys teaching all areas of removable, fixed and implant prosthodontics and he shares his knowledge via continuing education programs at dental meetings, study clubs and online forums in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. He was a Clinical Demonstrator and Examiner at the University of Otago, New Zealand and currently teaches the undergraduate students at the University of Queensland. Sid is a member of the Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. His special clinical interests are removable prosthodontics (dentures), implant reconstructions (All-on-Four), porcelain veneers, occlusion and digital dentistry. In his spare time, Sid enjoys adventure sports like rock climbing, skiing, motor biking and scuba diving. He also likes getting in touch with nature by riding his road bike and going on hikes with his wife, who is a scientist.
